ANGELA E. SCHIAVO
AGE: 94 LONG BRANCH
Angela E. Schiavo, 94, of Long Branch died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care, Long Branch. MeMa was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren, and was a member of Senior Care at Our House in Long Branch.
She was predeceased by her husband, Angelo R. Schiavo; a son, Angelo Schiavo Jr.; and son and daughter-in-law, Anthony "Ducky" Schiavo and Dr. Susan Young. Surviving are two brothers, Vito Rizzo and Vincent Rizzo; a sister, Clara Denker; three grandchildren, Michael, and his wife Jennifer Schiavo, Erin Schiavo and Lorin Schiavo; a great-granddaughter, Devan Giana; and her former daughter-in-law, Jenifer A. Schiavo.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 2 at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Ave.), Long Branch. Funeral at 9:30 a.m. Friday from the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michaels R.C. Church, West End. Interment follows at Mount Carmel Cemetery, West Long Branch. Memorial donations can be made to Senior Care at Our House, 127 Bath Ave., Long Branch, NJ 07740.
