Angie Barraza Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 5, 2016.
Mrs. Angelita L. Barraza (aka Angie), beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and friend, entered into eternal life on August 4, 2016 at the age of 90. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters: Elida L. Dickey, Joanne B. Sanchez (Alfredo Sanchez), and Christine L. Limas (Anthony Limas); grandchildren: Dean J. Buettgen (Josette Buettgen), Mona Tinoco, Mark Tinoco, Michael Tinoco, Tara Zeck (Robert Zeck), Jason Dickey, Justin Dickey (Amber Dickey), Rene Gonzales, Gilbert Gonzales, Joshua Sanchez, Pete Barraza, Candice Limas, Shavon Limas, and Anthony Limas (Sheree Limas). Twenty three great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and sister Beatrice Zuniga. Angie was a strong, beautiful, outspoken, spiritual, giving woman who loved and lived for her family. We were all blessed to have had her in our lives. Angie enjoyed cooking, traveling, dancing, singing, and playing the guitar. She was a die hard Bears and Cubs fan until the end. Angie prayed the rosary faithfully, and taught us to always trust in The Lord. She also taught us to never miss the opportunity to dance; ladies, always make sure your nails are done, put your make-up on before leaving the house, and most of all, family comes first. As she enters into eternal life, she is able to sing and dance the night away. Angie is preceded in death by her husband Pedro M. Barraza, son Bernard Barraza, siblings Guadalupe Hernandez, Luz Garcia, Eutimio Lopez, Jesusa Blanco, Zoila Herrera, and Juan Lopez. She lead a full, rich, loving life. And in her own words..... "YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT!"

Gram -
Happy birthday my little lady. I hope you saw your celebration and that we were all together. We miss you so much grandma. You were a constant in our lives, and it is so hard to get used to you not being here, but I know you're at peace. You were tired and deserved to be free from your illness. We will never forget you, and we will always keep your memory alive. I love you Grandma. Watch out for each and every one us. Give grandpa, uncle Bernie, and my dad a big kiss and hug. I love you gram. Rest in Peace.

Our sincerest condolences to my cousins. I was lucky enough to visit with my Aunt Angie here in California, Chicago and again in Houston. She made me laugh and smile every time I saw her. You were all so lucky to have had her in your daily lives. Her memory will live on.
