ANITA PARKER Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 8, 2024.
Anita Frances Parker passed away on September 3, 2024, at the age of 86 in Round Rock, TX. Born on May 29, 1938 in Brecksville, OH, Anita grew up on a farm in the home that her father built. She had cherished memories as a child of running hand in hand through fields of flowers with her brother and sister.

A cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, Anita is survived by her daughters, Janice Joyce (Terry), Susan Keever (Dan), and Lynn Locksey (Chris Ryba); Grandchildren, Kevin Joyce, Jessica Kilbane (Kyle) and James Locksey, great grandchildren, McKenna and Owen Kilbane. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Stone; father, Frank Junkar; sister, Ethel Ammerman; and brother, Frank Junkar.

Anita was a proud graduate of Buckeye High School and married her high school sweetheart, Richard (Dick) Parker (deceased) in 1958. They were married for 23 years. She furthered her education at Cuyahoga Community College, where she earned an Associate of Business in Transportation in 1981. Anita dedicated 25 years of her professional life to Foseco, from 1978 until her retirement in 2003. Her commitment and contributions during her tenure were highly valued and she left a lasting impact on her colleagues and the industry.

After her retirement, she developed a keen interest in rehabbing and flipping homes, a hobby that brought her much joy and satisfaction. She was known for her ability to transform spaces with creativity and warmth, leaving a lasting impact on every project she undertook. Anita was also a talented seamstress making many of the clothes and costumes for her girls when they were young. When she later moved to Florida, she used her creative talents designing and sewing Barbie clothes and other items which she sold at craft and art shows. She moved to Round Rock, TX where she spent the rest of her days in the loving care of her daughter, Lynn.
