ANN KIELING HOUGHTON
Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Friend: Ann Kieling Houghton passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021, after a challenging battle with dementia. She leaves behind her husband - her "blue-eyed boy" - Richard; sons Richard and David, daughter Margaret; sons-in-law Chip and Peter; and grandchildren Jared, Mel, Misha, Emily, Adam, Liam and Christopher. She was greeted in heaven by grandsons Cole and Nicholas. No doubt she is there singing, baking, telling everyone how gorgeous they are, hugging everyone, adopting all the cats, and basically spreading her joy to everyone. She graduated from Carleton College and retired from AT&T. She served as a Girl Scout leader, was President of her local Women's Club and a member of the New Providence Presbyterian Church, served on the staff at Overlook Hospital and in ministry with her clergy husband, volunteered at a hospice center and for many other worthy causes. She sang in many musical groups (both staged and in her kitchen), created endless holiday meals, and showered love on her family. She was an intelligent, compassionate, creative, and caring person. We will miss her more than words can say. A virtual funeral service will be held in the next few weeks. Family requests, in place of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice.
