Ann Marie Deering Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 2, 2025.
Ann Marie Deering (née Jachnicki), 64 years old, passed away surrounded by her family on April 30, 2025, in Princess Anne, Maryland. She was born on February 12, 1961, in Norristown, Pennsylvania to Leon and Maria (née Chudiak) Jachnicki. She married Andrew Deering in July 1981. In 1987, Ann Marie and Andrew moved with their four children to Mount Vernon Road in Princess Anne, MD. She and her husband have resided there for the last 38 years.

Ann Marie was a devoted mother to her four children and a loving "grammy" to her three grandchildren. She was a kind and big-hearted person with an abundance of energy. She easily made friends wherever she went. She loved the holidays and none more so than Christmas which she loved probably more than anyone ever. Ann Marie put 100% of herself into everything and worked tirelessly inside and outside the home to support her family. She loved talking on the phone and was famous for sidestepping your attempts to get off the phone and continuing the conversation for as long as she could. She enjoyed ending her day with a cup of tea in front of the television with her dogs at her side watching HGTV or true crime shows.

Ann Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Paul Jachnicki; and her nephew, Ryan Jachnicki.

Ann Marie is survived by her husband Andrew Deering; her four children, Christopher Deering (Beth), Patrick Deering, April Schaub (Jordan), and Andrew Deering Jr.; her three grandchildren Sophia Schaub, Samuel and Mila Deering; and her niece Nichole Lami (Bill); and her dear furry friends Tucker and Carley.

May Ann Marie's memory be a blessing to all who knew her.

A memorial is planned for May 10, 2025, at 2pm at the Mt Vernon Volunteer Fire Company located at 27440 Mt Vernon Rd, Princess Anne, MD 21853.

Sincere condolences to Ann Marie's family. She and I were next-door neighbors during our childhood and used to wait for the school bus together at the end of Borton Road in Audubon, PA. I remember a black and white Polaroid photo of us at my birthday party when we were probably around six years old. We reconnected much later in life through Facebook to reminisce, and it brought back many pleasant memories...May she rest in peace.

I met Ann through my sister Gail only a few times. What a pleasure to be around this beautiful lady! She had a gift ....an inner light that reflected on her persona and all who came across her were touched by this golden aura. Rest in peace Ann....."an angel on earth and now an angel in heaven."

Truly a beloved best friend who always put other people first. I will miss her everyday and all the phone calls daily. I know she is smiling down from heaven because now she is with Frankie, Boomer and all the other loved dogs she has had. Rest in peace Ann.

Though I only knew Ann Marie through her niece, Nichole Lami, I felt as if I knew her personally. The deep love and admiration they shared was evident and spoke volumes about the kind of person Ann Marie was. Her legacy clearly lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May God grant strength, peace, and comfort to everyone mourning her loss.

Dearest Ann, always so friendly and with a kind word, we would pickup
conversations from months ago. Always gardening and at Christmas
your yard was beacon of the season. Will miss you so much. Praying for
