WARRENTON - Anna Waddell Bullock died Thursday, February 23, 2006. Anna was born March 23, 1924 to the late John Buxton Waddell and Ida Heptinstall Waddell in Durham, N.C. where she spent most of her younger years and graduated from Bragtown High School. Anna attended Appalachian College, Wingate College and Shenandoah Conservatory. She was retired from the Warren County Health Department. She was a longtime member of the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church Choir.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Neblett Bullock, Sr. on October 24, 2005 and by her sisters, Hazel Waddell Healey, Helen Waddell DeDominic and Ida Waddell Hill. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Kavanaugh Waddell, Maurice Douglas Waddell and Robert Felts Waddell.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Young Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Drewry, N.C.
Surviving are her daughter, Meredith Bullock Harris and husband James Wesley Harris, Sr. of Reidsville, N.C.; her sons, Norman Neblett Bullock, Jr. and wife, Mabel Y. Bullock of Raleigh, N.C. and John Waddell Bullock of Warrenton, N.C.; grandsons, James "Jim'' Wesley Harris, Jr. and wife, Kate A. Harris of Raleigh, N.C., John Neblett Harris of Reidsville, N.C., Daniel Neblett Bullock of Raleigh, N.C.; granddaughter, Olivia Hope Bullock of Raleigh, N.C.; and her brother, John Buxton Waddell, Jr. and wife Jean S. Waddell of Raleigh, N.C.
Memorials may be made to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Warrenton, N.C.
Arrangements are by Blaylock Funeral Home in Warrenton.
