XENIA — Anna Meriam Hawker, passed away January 31, 2015 in Xenia, Ohio. Her goal was to live to be 100 and she accomplished that goal on October 25, 2014. She was born in Beavercreek, Ohio to Earl and Ethel Koogler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Hawker and her brother, Wilber Koogler. She is survived by her brother, Everett Koogler; son, James (Jeri) Hawker; daughter, Arlene Hackett; 4 grandchildren, Marcy Burke, Jim Hawker (Sandi), Jamey Hackett (Cathy) , and Ellen Siverling (Paul); 4 great grandchildren, Colton Hawker (Nyesha Hall), Derrick Hackett, Mya Siverling, and Rebekah Burke; great great grandson, Colton Hawker II, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, with family receiving friends from 1:00 pm until the time of service. Pastor Joe Redmond, Jr. officiating. She will be buried next to her husband at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery in Beavercreek. We would like to thank our friends at Hospitality Center in Xenia for the wonderful care given to her. So sorry for your loss. When I was a small child and lived on Grange Hall Rd.,Meriam helped teach me to play the piano a few times. I will always appreciate her kindness . She was a very sweet lady. Sincerely Grace {Charles} Halsey

I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Hawker was a wonderful, sweet lady and had children, grandchildren and extended family and friends that will certainly miss her. ONE HUNDRED YEARS - how wonderful that she made it to her goal. You have so many memories to carry you through. Rest in Peace Mrs. Hawker!!!
