Anna Hudson Obituary
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kenly Missionary Baptist Church in Kenly. Burial will be private.
Dr. Hudson, a native of Johnston County, was a 1999 graduate of North Johnston High School, where she was valedictorian. She was a 2003 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, receiving her bachelor of science degree in biology. She was a 2008 graduate of the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, where she was a Brody Scholar. She had served one year of residency at the Family Practice Center at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Washington, N.C.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Hudson; parents, Dr. Hal and Sara Woodall of Kenly; sisters, Lisa Johnson of Clayton, and Lori Woodall of Kenly; paternal grandmother, Bessie Woodall of Princeton; maternal grandmother, Gladys Slaughter of Wilson; nephews, Daniel and Michael Johnson of Clayton, and Avery Cahall of Kenly; niece, Emma Cahall of Kenly; father and mother in-law, Donald and Debbie Hudson of Kenly; and sister-in-law, Kasey Moore and husband Kevin of Gastonia.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Kenly Missionary Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the David Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund at Educational Foundation, PO Box 1075, Smithfield, NC 27577 or the ECU Medical & Heath Sciences Foundation, Inc., c/o Brody Scholarship Fund, 525 Moye Blvd., Greenville, NC 27834. Arrangements by Wilkerson Funeral and Crematory, Greenville, NC.

There are no adequate words to express our loss of Anna, especially her family's depth of loss. Such a legacy of love and accomplishments at such a young age are a reflection not only of Anna's capabilities and determination, but also the exceptional love and family example from which she developed those qualities, along with her faith. Anna and each of the family continue to touch so many lives, radiating love, hope and excellence of character. You are blessings to us all and will always have our love, concern, and support.

Dr. & Mrs. Woodall and Kevin - I taught Anna during her first year in medical school. We laughted alot together. She was a delightful and talented young woman and she will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Anna was such a sweet person. I had the opportunity to know and admire her while she was attending medical school. She often spoke of her faith and always had a smile whenever I talked to her. Even with all that she was going through, she was always positive and upbeat. With Jesus, she's in a much better place. I am thinking of you and praying for you to have much grace and strength at this time.

Dr and Mrs. Woodall and Keith I am so very sorry for your loss. you have served as a beacon of inspiration to me ,one of hope, strength and love, I can only hope that in my life time I will experience a portion of the kind of love you all showered upon Anna she was truly blessed to have you all. My heart is sadden but also full of renewed hope in the power of love. It was a complete honor to have taken care of Anna and to have her as a patient. I had the privilege of serving as an attending physician for Anna during her third year rotation in Pediatrics. Anna was truly a shining star. Hard working, insightful, and caring were the qualities that I remember so vividly with Anna. She made the most of her days with us in the service of chidren. I will miss her and forever be inspired by her professionalism and caring for all she worked with.

Keith, My prayers are with you and Anna's family, I am so honoured to have worked with her in Cardiology. She taught me lot about life, how to look at the bigger picture and appreciate the things that matter most in life. She always spoke well of you , she was very lucky to have u . Her loss is heart breaking but she was a fighter, she never gave up . she used to tell me she has already out lived her life she was told she would not live beyound 19. I miss u Anna. Rest in peace.

I know she is in a better place, bur far too soon. Even before she was an amazing doctor, Anna was an amazing patient. It was my honor to play a small part in helping with her medical care up until retiring two years ago. In spite of her daunting problems, I always found her enthusiastic, insightful, considerate, helpful, dedicated to being a physician and smiling. Patients are always teaching their doctors and Anna was a superb teacher. I have truly missed seeing her in clinic these past two years and now feel a great loss. Keith and Dr. Woodall, your love, support, and care for Anna that I witnessed was an inspiration. May all who love and miss her feel God’s comforting presence.

Keith, My prayers are with you and Anna's family. Please know she will always be remembered as a kind, thoughtful, and compassionate young woman/doctor. She blessed my life abundantly when she entered into it. I am so blessed to have be able to say that she was a part of my life. She has been such a positive role model for the young and old alike, especially the children of our church.
