KENNY, Anna Marie of St. Augustine, FL
Anna Marie passed away on February 15, 2025 with her loving daughters by her side. Anna Marie was born October 18, 1936 in Norwood, MA to the late Philip and Pasqualina (Petterino) Zanazzo.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Joseph Kenny and her sister, Lillian Adele Zanazzo.
Anna Marie graduated from Canton HS (Mass) in 1954 and Bridgewater State Teachers College (Mass) in 1958 with her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Anna Marie taught 4th and 5th Grade at Honey Hill School in Norwalk, CT where she met her husband, Don Kenny. Anna Marie and Don married in 1962 and enjoyed 56 loving years together. They raised their four daughters in Old Saybrook, CT and after 45 years, they moved to St. Augustine, FL. Anna Marie was the devoted mother of Patricia Kenny of St. Augustine, FL, Kat Pineda of St. Petersburg, FL, Erin (Mike) Bicho of Assonet, MA, and Cara (Christian) Chandler of Ashfield, MA. She was the loving Nonnie of Marcus, Koral and Donald Pineda, Julia and John Bicho and Christian Chandler.
Anna Marie was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Old Saybrook, CT and later Corpus Christi Catholic Church in St. Augustine, FL.
Anna Marie cherished her parents hometown of Gattinara, Italy and proudly shared, "sono piemontese", she loved eating fresh-caught blue crabs, enjoyed many beach days in Indian Town, getting together with family and friends, and making pizzelles during the holidays. We are truly blessed to have enjoyed her for so long - and are better people because of her.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children in memory of Anna Marie Kenny are appreciated.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday March 22, 2025 at 9 AM at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church in St. Augustine, FL .

A memorial Mass and interment will be the Summer 2025 in Canton, Mass.

AnnaMarie Zanazzo Kenney was my childhood friend, always upbeat, and
very attractive. Her positive attitude remained through her life. This is
so difficult losing so dear a person. Not long ago I saw her at my Pocasset
home and it was a great visit. Love and healing prayers go out to you all.
