Anna Bowman Nester, 93, passed away on August 24, 2022.
Anna was born in Laurel Fork, Virginia on November 16, 1928 to Hubert P. Bowman and Hortense Worrell Bowman. She was a dedicated, selfless, loving Mother to her three girls. She will be missed by all who loved her.
Anna is survived by her daughters Ruana Nester Robertson (husband Gary) and Cheryl Nester Wolfe (husband Jerry). Anna was proceeded in death by her husband, George and daughter Georgie Kaye. She has 6 well-loved and cherished grandsons who call her Nana; Steven Zenk, Richard Zenk, Lawrence Zenk, Kaz Robertson, Joshua Callahan and Benjamin Adams; 14 great grandchildren and 3 sisters Nancy Tatum, Rama Cooper and Jane Dalton, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 3 pm at Worrell Memorial Primitive Baptist Church, Laurel Fork, Virginia, Gleason Worrell, pastor presiding.
A private viewing for family will be held from 2-3 pm at the church. Interment will immediately follow the service at Nester Cemetery, Laurel Fork Rd, Laurel Fork, Virginia. A guestbook is available online by visiting www.vaughanguynnandmcgrady.com. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.

Anna was such a lovely lady. Anna and George welcomed us when we were new to Laurel Fork and "adopted" us into the family. Always encouraging and kind, she will be missed greatly.

Cheryl & Ruana, So sorry to hear of Anna passing. I worked for her for several years. She was a sweet person. I love to hear her sing Country music. After we retired, we continued to send Christmas cards. I will miss that. My prayers are with you all at this time
