Anne Arnold Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 22, 2024.
Stuart - Anne Marguerite Haviland Arnold of Stuart, Florida died peacefully on July 30, 2024. She was the wife of the late Robert James Arnold and the loving mother to the late Kerin Haviland Arnold Beaton. Mrs. Arnold, the daughter of the late James Adelbert and Marguerite Mullins Haviland, was born September 6, 1936 in Englewood, N.J. Mrs. Arnold studied at the Academy of the Holy Angels, Fairleigh Dickinson University and the Columbia University School of General Studies.

Anne was a forty-year resident of Alpine and Demarest, N.J. where she raised her cherished and loving family. While raising her family, Anne embarked on a long and illustrious real estate career spanning five decades, only to retire at the tender age of 82.

Anne will remember fondly her years at Holy Angels and the many lifelong friends and memories she so deeply cherished, including the Knitting Angels. It was through the Angels that Anne traveled the world and forged unbreakable bonds with her high school classmates. She will also cherish her days as a racquets player at the Glen Goin Club and the Englewood Field Club, her summers at LBI, trips with the gals to Quechee, and her beloved NY Yankees.

Beneath the soft and unassuming veneer was a woman of great strength, strong conviction, and fierce loyalty. Her thirst for life and love for her family and friends was met equally by her deep and unwavering faith. Anne gave tirelessly and passionately for over 80 years to countless churches throughout the eastern seaboard.

Mrs. Arnold is survived by a daughter, Lisa Anne Acosta of Manahawkin, N.J.; a son, Keith Chadwick and his wife Allison of Charleston, South Carolina. She is also survived by her four grandchildren who she treasured so dearly - Kristin Anne Acosta, Georgia Watson Arnold, Ginger Haviland Arnold and Jackson James Chadwick Arnold.

Mrs. Arnold will be laid to rest beside her husband of 51 years in a private ceremony at Madonna Cemetery & Mausoleum in Fort Lee.
