Anne Gibb

Anne Gibb, 75, of Spring Lake Heights, N.J., passed away peacefully, Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, with her family by her side at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, from 4 to 8 p.m. at O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Highway 35 at New Bedford Road, Wall. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at St. Catharine R.C. Church, Spring Lake, N.J. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J. She was predeceased by her parents, Rebecca and Thomas Burke, of Scotland. Anne was one of 10 children, predeceased by her brothers, Austin, Nicholas and Thomas Burke, and sister, Rebecca Quinn. She was so well known for her kind, warm heart, and her amazing baking skills. Many have enjoyed her famous Scottish shortbread and empire biscuits. Anne's biggest joy in life were her cherished family. Surviving are her beloved husband of 45 years, Tommy Gibb; her loving children, Aileen Gibb Clark of Spring Lake Heights, and Thomas Gibbs Jr. and wife, Maegan, of Cherry Hill, N.J.; her precious grandchildren, Matthew Clark of Spring Lake Heights, and Aiden and Burke Gibb, of Cherry Hill; her dear siblings, Mary Morgan, Julia Sydlowski, Tricia Carslaw, Eammon Burke, and Jo Scott, and many nieces and nephews.
