Anne and I met in college and became fast friends. She was a powerful and lifelong force in my life and cherish our times together.

Annie (Banana) was the most wonderful and kind friend, mentor, mother and partner I could hope to have as an example. I'm going to miss that staccato laugh, and that high-pitched 'Golly!" that would fill any room she was in. But mostly I'm going to miss those precious moments, sitting alone at night after Ellen and Oni had fled to the bedrooms, where we'd stay up late watching movies together, exchange relationship advice (I can say exchange as she's not here to argue!), and talk for hours. So many different friends, from different backgrounds, ethnicities, religious, and age groups. And Annie was the glue for all of us.

Oh, how sad to hear this news. Since we were neighbors on Webbeen't seen her in years and only discovered her on facebook a couple of years ago. She was a brilliant empath with a wonderfully funny, wry view of the world. How lucky anyone was to know her. Ellen, don't know if you remember me, but I send you and your family my deepest condolences. Jonelle

I am so sorry to learn of Anne's death. Not a death really because she knew where she was going. Her laugh still resonates in my memory... all those years ago in Santa Fe. Many laughs from younger hearts that thought they'd never grow old.
The world is a bit darker today.......
