Anne Wilson Kinnaird of Charlotte, N.C., passed away peacefully at 93 years of age on June 11, 2024.

Anne is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Kinnaird of Charlotte; their children, Karen Spieler (Mark) and Kenneth Kinnaird Jr., of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Kathryn Spieler and Jacob Spieler; a sister, Mary Boyle Huckaby (Tom); and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude W. Gilbert and James R. Wilson of Atlanta.

Anne was born in Atlanta and attended both Fulton County High School and Georgia State, graduating with a 2-year degree in accounting. She worked for Southern Bell when she met the love of her life, Ken, at Woodland Hills Baptist Church. They were married for 73 happy years, raising their family in Charlotte. Anne was avid seamstress, musician, golfer, and tennis player. She loved sewing clothes for her family and friends, playing guitar, piano, and singing in the choir at church at Park Road Baptist, playing golf and tennis at Beverly Woods East, Carmel Country Club, and High Meadows in Roaring Gap. In her spare time she was financial secretary at her church, served as Commissioner for the Queen City and Interclub Leagues, worked on computers, and went on adventures with friends and family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.

One of my favorite memories of Anne is with side kick Ann Nash, singing Tennessee Bird walk!!!! Wednesday night church entertainment!
And In The Oaks church retreats, Anne would play The Hallelujah Chorus....as Load as she could for wake up call!! Great lady and friend!! She will be missed!

Anne reminded me of my mother smart straight forward and friendly. I called her Mom which she liked. The world is a better place because of this straight shooting lady !! Sad to say goodbye!!!

Anne was so encouraging to a sorry Golfer like me. I learned a lot from her.
I never saw her that she wasn't smiling, and she taught that to the whole family.
A lovely, smart, gracious, and energetic woman.
Peace to all her loved ones.

All I can say is she and I had a special relationship. So stubborn but full of love and wisdom. We were to have margaritas soon. Love to Ken and family.
