Anne Smith Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 6, 2025.
Anne Smith, 76, of East Brunswick, ascended into eternal rest on March 5th, 2025, with her loving family at her side.

Born the only daughter to the late Leonard and Mae Wellinger Blue, she was bonded to each of her four brothers, Richard, Joseph, the late Leonard Jr., and the late Robert Blue.

Anne was a devoted wife of fifty-seven years to Joseph P. Smith. They resided and raised their three children in West New York where she was a bank manager for many years.

Anne was generous with laughter and love and shared quality time with each of her children and grandchildren. She was immensely proud to have lived to be a great-grandmother.

Anne found the most joy whether it be at backyard barbecues with friends and family or riding coasters in Disney. She always spoke with an unwavering love about her childhood years having been spent in Hoboken.

She is survived by her husband Joseph P. Smith, daughter Stacey Lynn Santos, son Richard "Golden Boy" Smith and wife Elaine Smith, daughter Tara Ali Roque and husband, Luis Roque, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held for Anne at Saints Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church - 404 Hudson Street Hoboken, NJ, 07030 on Wednesday March 12th, 2025, at 9:30am.
