Annette Young Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 11, 2025.
Annette Young, 60, passed away on June 16, 2025, in Hillside, Illinois. Born on February 15, 1965, in Chicago, Illinois, Annette lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and quiet strength.

A proud graduate of Whitney Young High School, Annette went on to pursue her passion for healthcare at Chicago State University. There, she earned her degree in nursing and became a registered nurse-a role she embraced with unwavering commitment for over 30 years. Her career was not just a profession but a calling; she found purpose in helping others and brought comfort and care to countless lives throughout her decades of service.

Annette cherished the simple joys of life. She found happiness in spending time with family and shared countless hours on the phone with her sister Jacqueline, exchanging stories and laughter. She also valued solitude-content with a stack of scratch-off tickets and the familiar melodies of American Idol playing in the background.

She is lovingly remembered by her son Raymond Young; her brother Carl Young; her sister Alica Hubbard; Andre Hubbard her uncle Freddie Young Sr.; and many nieces and nephews including Lorenzo Young, Lawerence Young, Imani Hubbard, Alonzo Miller, Calvin Young, Malcolm Young, and Torrian Washington Jr.

Annette was preceded in death by her beloved mother Venola "Baby Sister" Young; her sister Jacqueline Young; and her nephew Carl Young Jr.

Her deep love for her son was reflected in the heartfelt prayer she carried for him-a prayer filled with hope for his protection, wisdom, strength, and faith. It stands as a testament to the depth of her devotion as a mother:

> "Heavenly Father, I come before you with a heart full of love and concern for my son... I trust you with his heart and life. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Annette's legacy lives on through those who knew and loved her. May her memory bring comfort to all whose lives she touched. A Memorial Gathering will be held on August 16, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM at Chicago IL 4242 West Lake
