Karen, Blaze and all of Tony's family please accept my sincerest condolences. I just recently heard of his passing. Upon the news a lot of memories came to mind. Tony and I met 40+ years ago at Brownsville Road Church of Christ, we worked together one summer mowing empty lots all over Shelby County and were roommates our first year at Harding. I remember he, Bill Yearwood and Richard 'Flick' Ford playing music in backyards and pizza joints. Tony was a friend, great athlete, funny guy and someone I admired. God Bless.

So sorry for your loss. I never knew Tony personally or met Tony but do remember seeing him play with River Bluff Clan many years ago and enjoyed listening to their music. Having something in common as Harding University, you knew who Tony was even without knowing him personally. Seems like I remember him playing in a mens church league basketball team at one time too. Again so sorry for your loss. You are in many thoughts and prayers during this time.

My deepest thoughts and prayers for Tony's greatly extended family, which includes all the wonderful musicians who called him a brother. Tony was a great guy, so genuine and so much fun to be around. I'm so sad that I'll never get to see him perform again with Riverbluff Clan or Uncle Tony's String Band. Rest in Peace.

Deepest condolences to Tony's family and friends. I have know him forty years since our first summer working together at Libertyland, and the many years he and Harry Peel played together- he was one of a kind and the world is a little less without him in it. He will truly be missed and probably never knew the impact he had on so many lives.

Brother Tony, I have always admired you and your dear brother Dennis and sisters Sandra and Tammy since our years when we were raised together at the Baptist Children's Home. It was you that convinced Coach Farley to keep me as a player on the 1971 Bartlett High Baseball team although I was just a freshman. Always wondered how you pulled that one off. I guess it was simply because you are Tony. The last time I saw you we hit golf balls on the range on Summer Ave. I remember you told me you wanted to record a friend's song named "He's A Cop". I hope you were able to do just that. General Stonewall Jackson once said to his war weary troops during the Civil War, "Men let us cross over the river and rest under the shade of the trees". Rest now my dear brother 'til we meet again on God's golden shore.

Brother Tony. I always have admired you and your dear brother Dennis and sister Sandra from the years we were raised together at the Baptist Children's Home. I never forgot that it was you who convinced Coach Farley to keep me as a player on the 1971 Bartlett High varsity baseball team even though I was only a freshman. The last time I saw you we hit golf balls at the range on Summer Avenue and later you told me you wanted to record a song called "He's A Cop." I hope you were able to that. I still have the copy your friend recorded on my I Tunes. Stonewall Jackson, during the weariness of the Civil War once said to his troops, "Men, Let us cross over the river and rest under the shade of the trees." Rest now my dear brother 'til we meet again on God's golden shore.

Sending my very deepest sympathy to Tony's wife Karen and Son Blaze, his whole family and all friends of this sweet, funny, selfless man everyone loves. He is already terribly missed, and will always be remembered as someone who put smiles on faces, just by entering room. I hope by now he's had a chance to meet my son Jesse. We've all lost two good ones. If Heaven could possibly get any brighter, it was when Tony entered... *PEACE* Love, Trish

I first met Tony when he was in the RC playing at Shakey's Pizza. We all became good friends and hung out a lot back in the day. Even made a few runs out to Lucy Opry. I was lucky enough to continue my friendship with him throughout the years as it seems a lot of us did. Although I hadn't spoken to him in a while we have all lost a good friend. My prayers to you all. Love you Tony.
