Tony has gone to be with our Lord, after a recently diagnosed illness. He was the son of Louis & Antoinette Garapolo born in Chicago, IL and later lived in Norridge, IL. Tony attended Ridgewood High School and studied at Northern Illinois University. He was called to serve his country and enlisted in the U.S. Army National guard, completing five years of Honorable Service. Tony was a certified Gemologist and worked at several jewelry stores in the Chicagoland area. He worked for many years with the Doral Refining company based in New York, NY. Tony enjoyed Corvette cars and was an aficionado of fine Italian food. His life was dedicated to his family, friends and his work. Tony is survived by his wife Marilyn (Zabel) Garapolo. son Anthony (Jennifer) Garapolo. grandsons Anthony and Vincent Garapolo. brother Louis Garapolo. Tony is loved and missed by many, a generous and amazing man.

Donations in memory of Tony can be sent to his loving wife Marilyn. Private family services will be held at a date in the near future.

When Marilyn, another friend Dawn, and I had Shaklee biz zoom meetings, Tony would sometimes be heading off (to work?) and I loved getting a shot of his warm, loving personality...."Go Shaklee" he would exclaim as he headed out the door <3

Liz & I lived across the condo , neighbors, friends for many years. We went on vacation together, we loved Tony and will miss his jokes, laughter and positive outlook.
