Anthony ‘Tony’ Lasher Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 5, 2025.
Anthony "Tony" Lasher passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 66, in Bismarck, ND. Born in March of 1959, Tony spent his life engaged in various professions and hobbies that reflected his quiet yet adventurous spirit.

His career path was varied and fulfilling, taking him beyond his home state. He began as a tower painter in Idaho, a role that reflected his fearless spirit. Later, he worked at Marvin Windows in Minnesota, which gave him the opportunity to live near his father, Lloyd. In 2009, Tony returned to North Dakota, where he eventually transitioned to part-time work in cleaning services to stay active as he approached retirement.

Tony had a lifelong passion for the outdoors. In his younger years in Idaho, he was an avid snow skier, enjoying the thrill and solitude of winter mountains. He also loved fishing and especially canoeing, often exploring the waters of the Missouri River. When not adventuring outdoors, Tony found peace in reading, gardening, and caring for his apple trees, as well as the birds and turkeys that visited his yard.

Tony is survived by his son Cole; grandchildren Cylas, Bristol, Brianna, and Bryce; nephew Tyler; and sister Jaci. He was preceded in death by his son Jeremy; parents, Lloyd and Emily; brother Gene; and his beloved animal companions Boojie, Little Girl, and Sam.

Tony's life was marked by his resilience, love for nature, and an appreciation for the simple joys of daily life. His legacy lives on in the memories of those who knew him and in the beauty of the natural spaces he cherished. He will be deeply missed and warmly remembered by all who knew him.
