I met April when she was assigned as our project manager here at Covenant Health in Knoxville, TN. She was intelligent, professional, yet warm and friendly. All who worked with her here are deeply saddened by this news.
Heartfelt sympathy to her family and loved ones.

I am so saddened to hear of such a tragedy that it's hard to put into words. I worked with April at McKesson until I left the company last November. While we never worked on a site together, I always enjoyed talking with her in the halls, kitchen, etc. She was one of the nicest people I got to know during my time there. She had such an amazing, magnetic personality and I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know her. I give my heartfelt condolences to her family.

April is my own personal Randy Pausch. We only spent the past year working togther but it was enough to have made an impact on me. I did not know that April was sick until after she stopped working and I admire her spirit. We had a lot of clients in common and laughed and groaned over our shared experiences. When I am traveling alone for work I sometimes think of April and know she is laughing and smiling as I recycle over the past days events. I know she cheers when I succeed. And whenever I think I can't go on and want to give up I think of April and say "not helpful"... because she always was.

I met April in 7th grade for the very first time. I remember our class trip to Niagara Falls where all the girls had to buy baseball hats to wear for the group photo that we took and the yellow raincoats that we wore at the Falls. I can picture it as if it were yesterday. I remember the Friday night football games that we went to, her love for dancing and her never-ending smile. I am shocked to hear about April's passing and extend my deepest sympathy to her parents and family. Words can not express my true sorrow for all of you. April had made an impression on myself and has given me memories that I will remember of her always. My thoughts are with all of you. My truest and deepest sympathy.

My deepest and most sincere sympathies are extended to April’s family and husband, Ed. I feel truly blessed to have known and worked with April at McKesson. She was a beautiful person, both inside and out. She had the type of personality that made you feel welcomed and at ease around her the minute you met her. She was always willing to help others no matter how busy she might have been. Her radiant and genuine smile and personality will be dearly missed. Heaven has a special angel now.

I will never forget April's smile and the wonderful memories I have of our time at IU and her visits to Chicago. She was a true friend. And she was passionate about the things she loved -- her sports teams, her music and, of course, her family and friends. I know there are so many who are mourning her loss. I hope they are comforted to know that they have an angel watching over them now. April and I were not in touch much lately, but she has always been and will always be such an important person in my life. I am thankful that Bloomington, Indiana brought us together.

I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to call April a colleague and a friend. Her graciousness and willingness to share is only a very small part of what made April so special. I am glad to know that April is resting peacefully - although she will certainly be missed by many people.

What a legacy this beautiful young woman left with everyone whose life she touched. My sincerest condolences to April's family.

I am so sorry to hear of Aprils passing. She was my favorite "Big Girl" Dancer growing up. I think of her from time to time and still mention her as my idol to the dance students I teach now. She was a pefect role model for myself. We loved spending time with you all. I will never forget that. Perhaps April and my mom are up in Heaven dancing again to my two favorite solos of Aprils, Rhapsody In Blue and Exodus. I will never forget her, She was Great all around!

April was one of the sweetest people of I ever known. I will always remember her smile, sense of humor and her willingness to help. During the time I worked with April at McKesson, we traveled together several times. Those trips were always enjoyable, because no matter how difficult the situation was, she was always in great spirits and developed an instant rapport with everyone she came in contact with. She will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

I only knew April in the professional arena, but always found her to be kind, caring, and spirited. She had a great sense of humor and I always enjoyed talking about the Steelers and Packers with her. Based on her passion at work, I'm certain she was a wonderful daughter, sister and wife. My thoughts and prayers are with all of April's friends and family at this time. God bless you.

April was such a strong Christian woman and it was in our talks that her faith strengthened me. Her smile, her never ending concern for others, and her positive outlook on life will continue to brighten my days. Even on a cloudy day, the sun was always shining through April. We love you Missy. God has blessed me with your friendship and love.

Ed and Family,

I had the utmost pleasure to sit near April when I was in Pittsburgh at Automation. As a fellow Project Manager we often shared war stories of the road and I actually got to work with her in Rancho Mirage, Ca. She was the brightest star you could ever come across in the office and I am glad to have called her a co-worker, but most of all friend. She is going to be missed very badly by us all, but we are all better to have someone as great as her looking over us as she always did.

God Bless!

Family and Friends of April,
I had the great honor and priviledge to meet this beautiful person for the first time earlier this year. As a young woman she taught me so much about life, her strength was both phenomenal and admirable. I continue to be amazed by her courage. There were many nurses on our unit, but April made an effort to remember nearly all of our names and thanked us constantly. We all loved to care for her, and will miss her greatly. To Ed and her parents, I will keep you all in my prayers. She truly appreciated all of the support that you provided her with. Rest in Peace April

I just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about about April. We worked together for only a year but she was one of the kindest and most generous colleagues I have ever met. She would stop everything she was doing to help me out when I first joined her team. We spent many weeks traveling together and I really do miss her smile.

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. I work in a healthcare organization in Knoxville, and had the pleasure to meet and work with April on one of our hospital projects, and not for just several months but for the last 3 years. April was not only a great project manager, but one of the sweetest persons among all the people we have ever had the opportunity to know and work with in the entire McKesson organization!!! She was always so customer-oriented and user-focused! She loved meeting people and working with them to solve their problems. McKesson lost a good employee whom they could learn a great deal from!! She went out-of-the-way many times to demonstrate true customer service! April always had a smile and joy about her she carried from her personal life and happiness into her job and customers! I mostly remember April and appreciate the Steelers “terrible” towel she sent me, after finding out my husband was a life-long dedicated Steelers fan (since birth born in Tennessee, and not one of those more recent acquired fans of the superbowl win). And she not only sent one towel, but two of them. I remember her saying "your son, TJ, could grow-up learning to know and love the BEST football team in the country, too!" A true example of April's thoughtfulness!
Praying for your family with sincere sympathy,
Jackie & Tim Mitchell

I am a RN at Magee Women's Hospital. April was never officially my patient but I answered her call light one night and we began talking and clicked. After that I would see April on our unit and always sit and talk to her after I made my rounds. When I first met April my mother had been newly diagnosed with cancer and it always amazed me that with everything she was going through she alway asked about her by named and would tell me she was praying for her. I honesty think she was more of a comfort to me than I was to her. April was truly a beautiful women with a wonderful and generous heart.
Ed, she always talked about you with a smile , how much she loved you and I don't think I ever worked a shift where I did not see you by her side. I am very happy that you two got married because was so important to her. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.
May she rest in peace.

I have many happy memories working with April at McKesson. One of my favorites was a business trip we made together to New Orleans. We couldnt find a restaurant in one of the greatest seafood cities in the country, because of course April didnt eat seafood! That still makes me laugh.

April was a good friend and we will miss her dearly. My wife and I wish to express our deepest sympathy to her family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Although our great friendship with April's Dad & Barbara allowed us to meet the angel with the beautiful smile, our exposure to her was quite limited (our loss). We have prayed for months for a miracle that God did not see fit to grant. Although our faith and that of her family's allows us to realize that she is in a better place, our hearts can't help but break as all we can offer now is hugs to her broken family.

Rest precious Angel
