Ardath Lucile Flomer

Ardath Lucile Flomer, 88, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, died Friday, July 12, 2024, in Wilsonville, Oregon.

Ardath was born June 10, 1936, in Rosalia, Washington, to Fenton "Buck" and Bertha Wilkerson, and the family later moved to Pendleton, Oregon.

After graduating from Pendleton High School, Ardath went to Oregon State College, where she was a Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority member. Following her time at Oregon State, Ardath enjoyed working as a flight attendant for United Airlines.

She married Larry McKennon in 1958. They initially lived in the Portland area, later settling in Albany, Oregon.

In 1977, Ardath married Loren "Butch" Flomer. They made their home in Lake Oswego before moving to Charbonneau in Wilsonville, Oregon.

Ardath enjoyed a fun career later in life as a Personal Shopper at Meier & Frank Company. She had a passion for painting, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Her beloved cat, Dolly, also brought her much joy in recent years.

Ardath was preceded in death by her husband Loren "Butch" Flomer; brothers, Edwin Wilkerson of Kennewick, WA, Robert Wilkerson of Honolulu, HI; sister Dixie Temple of Pendleton, OR; and earlier this year by her daughter Lucinda "Cindy" McKennon.

She is survived by daughter, Sandra Volk of Vancouver, WA; son, Michael McKennon of Lake Oswego, OR; stepson, Thomas Flomer of Aurora, OR; grandchildren, Madelyn Miller, Grace McKennon, Jack Miller, and Ruby McKennon; and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 15th at 11:00 A.M at Langdon Farms Golf Club, Aurora, Oregon.
