Arika Analise Harrison

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arika Harrison on July 18th, 2024, at the age of 41. Arika was born on May 10th, 1983, in Modesto, CA, to Gregory Harrison and Lena Marie (King) Schuchterman.

Arika grew up in Modesto, CA. with her mother and stepfather, Lena Marie and Henry Schuchterman, and her sister Chelsey Schuchterman. She attended Sonoma elementary, La Loma Jr High, and graduated from Thomas Downey High School. She later continued her education at MJC graduating with an Associate Degree in 2015, and a Bachelor in Science of Psychology degree from California State University Stanislaus in 2019. Arika wasted no time landing 3 part time jobs she was ready to work! The job and career she loved the most was working with her team at EA Family Services. Arika had just completed her 1st year toward obtaining her Master's Degree in Social Work. Arika was incredibly intelligent and passionate about helping others.

Arika loved music, reading, Disney villains, and traveling, but more than anything else, she loved her son Bryan. She was above all else motivated to make sure her son was happy, healthy, and loved. Arika was incredibly proud of her son, and she loved the bond they shared. Her sarcastic wit, love of adventure, and unique views on life are ever present in her son, Bryan. We will be forever grateful that she bestowed such amazing gifts on him. She was an incredible mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

A memorial celebration will be held in her honor at 11:00 a.m. on August 10th, 2024, at Unity Church of Modesto, 2467 Veneman Avenue, Modesto, CA 95356.
