Arnold R. Gooch

Arnold R. Gooch died on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Saint Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 85.

Born and raised in Mannington, WV, the son of the late Pearl (Toothman) and Walter Gooch, and formerly of Trenton, NJ, Mr. Gooch was a Middletown Township resident for the past 57 years.

Until his retirement, he was the Chief Operating Engineer for ETS, mostly in Princeton, for over 30 years.

Mr. Gooch is a World War II US Navy veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post 960.

He will be remembered as a hard working man, however, always, most important to Mr. Gooch, was his love for his wife and entire family.

Mr. Gooch was the beloved husband of 64 years to Elaine V. (Schauer) and the loving father of Sharon L. McKellick (Alan) of Williamstown NJ; Arnold A. Gooch (Lee) of Pipersville; Alana L. Whiting (Gary) of Levittown and Richard A. Gooch (Kathy) of Fallsington. He will also be sadly missed by his 7 grandhildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Walter Gooch (Jean) of Yardley; sister, Arlene Gooch of Levittown; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, from 1:00 until 3:00 pm and on Monday, from 9:00 until 10:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road Levittown, where his funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

My deepest heartfelt condolences go out to my 2nd family growing up next door. I have very fond memories of Mr. Gooch as a loving husband and father. Rest in peace!
