Anderson, Arthur Lee 76 of Kokomo passed away August 21, 2011. Art was born in Chicago, IL on June 18, 1935 to Albert Arthur and Merle (Davis) Anderson. He received his BS and MSEE from the University of Illinois and later a Business Masters from Purdue University. He was inducted into the Illini Media Hall of fame at the University of Illinois. Art worked for General Motors for 23 years. Later, he became a consulting engineer. His major clients were Functional Devices and MFRI. Art was an active member of Temple B'nai Israel, serving as President and Treasurer. His involvement with the Boy Scouts spanned 60 years. He was currently with Troop 506. He also mentored the Kokomo High School Technokats First Robotics Team. Art is survived by his wife, Bette Simon Anderson; son, Alan (Carol) Anderson of Kokomo; daughters, Janice (Arnie) Levitan of Skokie and Sandra (Craig) Gruber of Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Corey, Jacob, Sarah, Hannah and Ari; and brother, James (Amy) Anderson. Services will be held at Aaron Ruben Nelson Mortuary, 11411 N. Michigan Rd., on Wednesday, August 24 at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Indianapolis Hebrew Cemetery North. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Temple B'nai Israel of Kokomo, IN.

To my dear Uncle... May you Rest In Peace! Your mind and body never stopped, now you can have your much deserved sleep. I will miss you more than you know. You were truly a great man! I think of you every day and wish this tragedy never happened. I miss and love you very much!

I didn't know Mr. Anderson but he seemed like a nice man that really made a difference in the world. May he rest in peace. My condolences to his family & friends who will miss him. May he enjoy his eternal life on the other side <3

Didn't know Art directly, but knew him through Bette - a songwriting workshop friend. I know he will be sadly missed. My heart goes out to all who knew and loved him.

Prayers and condolences to the Anderson family and friends. I didn't know Art well but the short time I spent with him, and his wife at his brothers home in Florida, will always be remembered fondly.
