Mr. Arthur William Daniels Jr.

Arthur W. Daniels, Jr., died peacefully in his sleep after a hard fought battle with ALS on Thursday, May 20, 2010. Mr. Daniels was the husband of the late Marie B. Daniels, stepfather of the late Stephen Rae Metcalf and grandfather of the late Sierra Picou. He was son of Zoe Daniels and the late Arthur Daniels, Sr. He had one sister, Diane Westeen Myles and one brother, Robert Daniels, Sr. He will be missed by nieces and nephew which include, Tammie Ball, Dawn Cucurullo, Shannon Ball, Brandy Lepine, Lisa Daniels and Robert Daniels, Jr. along with a host of great-nieces, nephews and cousins, Nancy, Terry, Cathy, Clara, and Mandy. Mr. Daniels served our country as a private in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam era. He was a former employee of Eastern Airlines and U.S. Airways. Thanks to friends and Hospice for being with him in his last years. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life at Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5200 Canal Blvd. (Formerly All Faiths Funeral Home) on Monday, May 24, 2010.Service will be at 11:00 AM. Visitation after 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made in his name to the ALS foundation.
