I was saddened to hear of Arvo's death. I was out of town but would have paid my respects if I had known. I remember Arvo as always smiling, friendly and making me feel like he was glad to see me whenever we met. He had a wonderful sense of humor and such a gentleman. I send you all my heartfelt sympathy and love. Sharon Koller

Arvo was my grandpa's brother (Gunnard). I will always remember being at the cabin with Arvo and Lillian and using hotdogs as fish bait. Arvo was a great guy and a great help to my grandma when my grandpa passed away. He will be sadly missed.

Dear Family,

I had the privilege of serving as Mr. Koponen's doctor. We always enjoyed talking about the world. He was so upbeat and kind. I will greatly miss him.
