Ashley Fisher Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 20, 2017.
Ashley Noelle Fisher passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the age of 31. She was born on December 29, 1985 to Rick Fisher and Renee (Peters) Fisher in Houston, TX.

She is survived by her daughter and light of her life Avery Noelle Alquicira; mother, Renee Fisher; sisters, Natalie Fisher (Christopher Perroni) and Lauren Fisher; brother, Travis Fisher; maternal grandmother, Shirley (Jacobsen) Peters; nieces, Maycen, Adleigh, and Brynlee; nephew, Parker; along with a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

She was proceeded in death by her father, Rick Fisher; paternal grandfather, Gary Fisher; paternal grandmother Beverly (Hurst) Fisher; and maternal grandfather, Jack Peters.

Ashley graduated from James E. Taylor High School in 2004 and attended Houston Community College. She worked as a groomer for many years and most recently was involved in the aftermath clean up from Hurricane Harvey.

Ashley spent her free time laughing, playing, singing, dancing and shopping with her daughter Avery. Ashley and Avery were two peas in a pod and shared a very special bond including an enormous love of flowers, glitter, nail polish, make up and lots of red lipstick.

She also enjoyed keeping up with the news, socializing with family and friends and playing softball for KGSA while growing up.

Ashley's smile was contagious and she had a sparkle for life. The family requests that if possible you wear some sparkle or sequins to her Celebration of Life Memorial Service taking place at 11am, December 4, 2017. Under the direction of Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd., Katy, TX 77494.

Should you desire, memorials may be directed to the family as a trust will be established for Avery.

Ashley, I am so sorry and shocked to hear of your passing. You were always so bubbly and never missed a beat to tell a sarcastic joke when we were in school. There are many fond memories from back in the day at Taylor. My prayers are with your family and your daughter. God gained another angel. Rest In Peace Ashley.

Ashley,

Although I knew you for a short period of time you never failed to convey what an optimistic person you were. Every time we came across each other the first thing I would notice and even now when thinking of you is the great big smile you always held. While with Avery she was always attached to your hip because you were her everything and although physically you are not here but we know you will always be with your loved ones and family in spirit. May God take care of the new angel He has gained and provide strength to the family and friend in this moment now and always.

My Dear Sweet Ashley,
Such an amazing daughter and mommy, full of kindness, laughter and love.
I promise to help watch over Avery and teach her all her Mommy's secrets like how to sparkle and shine. To love life and to laugh everyday. I hope you are "Dancing in the Sky".
There are no words to describe the pain and emptiness you have left behind. I refuse to say goodbye and instead will celebrate your life until we meet again. RIP my Princess. Let there be GLITTER!
Love, XOXO Mom

I am deeply saddened to hear about Ashley's passing. Ashley and I were good friends in high school, we shared many wonderful memories together. I wish that I could do something to undo what happened and bring her back. I can say that the world has lost a great light. We should also find comfort that she is in a place of happiness and joy. I hope that you and her daughter remember all the good times and remind her of how amazing her mom is. There will be times when you will get to see Ashley through her daughter in her personality and expressions. That will be her legacy.

I have the feeling I'm going to rewrite this over and over again because I will remember a memory, and this will become its own book. So I'll do my best.

Ash,
You were one of my first friends when I moved to Memorial Parkway Junior High. We've shared high school football games, school dances (Taylor's and Cinco's) , tons of sleepovers, lots of binge watching reality tv shows, being to loud and having Mama Fisher barge into your room yelling at us, we always deserved it. We both drove convertibles, and always had the top down. We were there for each other through high school break ups and girlfriend drama. I was there for you when the first man you loved had the unexpected accident and it was so hard on you. I went with you to visit him at rehab, and at his house. I like to think your dancing in the sky with him and your daddy now. We didn't stay in touch all the time, life and our busy schedules made that hard - but we did check in on each other. In fact, you were the first person to message me telling me to let you know if I needed anything when I was admitted into the hospital, after my car accident while pregnant. I know your baby girl will have your heart, not a chance God would take you out of this world and not leave us with that! Fly high Ash, until we met again, I'll miss you, and everytime I see glitter I will think of you.
