Ashley Michele Jones Altum, age 36, of Archer City, Texas tragically lost her life in a car accident Monday afternoon, August 15, 2022, in Clay County, Texas.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the Young County Arena in Graham, Texas with J.J. Mayo, Pastor of Palo Pinto Cowboy Church, and Ron Lyles, Bishop of Calvary Church in Fort Worth, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan, Texas under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Young County Arena.
Ashley was born July 24, 1986 in Fort Worth, Texas to Douglas Kevin Jones and Rhonda Michele Sonnenburg Jones.
She graduated from Lipan High School in 2005 and then attended Weatherford College and Cisco Junior College. While in high school, she was involved with the 4-H, FFA programs, cheerleading and played softball.
In 2008, she was married and had two sons, Carson and Branson. Ashley was a stay at home mom and enjoyed spending time with her children. In 2021, she became engaged to Bray Chambles and was to be married in November.
Ashley was employed in the livestock veterinary industry throughout her life. Her favorite pastime was cooking, attending rodeos and livestock shows with her children. Ashley attended the Palo Pinto Cowboy Church.
Survivors include two sons, Carson Kevin Altum and Branson Charles Altum of Graford; her parents, Doug and Rhonda Jones of Lipan; brother, Kevin Jones of Granbury; her fiancé, Bray Chambles of Archer City; grandparents, Betty Jones and Nolan and Glenda Sonnenburg all of Burleson; bonus kids, Cassidy, Reece, Tagan and Tripp Chambles all of Archer City, Dylan and Ethan Altum of Graford; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Theodore “Ted” Jones.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Carter, Kendall Coleman, Tad Jenkins, Michael Moore, Rusty Schroeder, Jim Tackett, Steven Word and Ryan Yoder. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Jones, Carson Altum and Branson Altum.

Ashley was a loving person that will be missed by everyone that came in contact with her. We have known her since the family moved to Lipan and great friends since. Lots of Hugs Love and Prayers for her kids and loving family.

Ashley was the best we had the best times at work and when she lived next door to us we would play pranks on each other and just laugh till it hurt. My whole family loved her and will miss her always but I know she is in a better place because she loved the Lord! I pray for her family and the boys.. Love the Castillo family!
