Ashley Danielle Rhymes

Ashley Danielle Rhymes was born on January 22, 1988 to John Lamar and to the late Althea Rhymes in Newark, New Jersey. She went home to eternal rest on January 31, 2009. Ashley was educated in the Newark and East Orange Public School system. Ashley was a caring, fun loving, and dedicated person who always went out of her way for others without ever asking for anything in return. She was a heaven sent to everyone that she met. She would take care of any and everyone, and I mean anyone. Everyone was always welcomed in Ashley's house. She enjoyed spending quality time with her adorable children, her family and her friends. She will be missed and will remain in our hearts and life forever. Ashley leaves to cherish her precious memory: loving children, Myasia and Maquan Rhymes; father, John Lamar; great grandmother, Frances King (all of Newark, NJ); grandmother, Geraldine Rhymes (Montclair, NJ); two brothers, Jason and Marquis Rhymes; three sisters, Shakira Granger, Angela Rhymes and Teaira Lamar (all of Newark, NJ); aunts, Antoinette Rhymes, Michelle Rhymes, Sharon Hamlet, Paula Ruth Glass (all of Newark, NJ), and Lavern Harris (Macon, Georgia); uncles, Phillip and Gerald Rhymes (both of Newark, NJ); niece, Makiyah Daniels (East Orange, NJ); nephew, Yasin A.
