Obituary â€“ Fairfield Ashley Nicole Whitham, age 31 of Fairfield died Saturday evening at the Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield. Born April 23, 1984 at Snellville, Georgia. She was the daughter of James and Marian Moore Cronan. She was raised by her mother and step-father Marion and Rickey Brown. Ashley graduated from Spring Hill High School in Spring Hill, Tennessee. She married Michael Whitham on November 26, 2012 at Columbia, TN. She has been a resident of Fairfield for the past 6 months. She was preceded in death by her father James Cronan. Surviving are her husband Michael, her three sons: Colin and twin boys Ethan and Nolan Whitham. Her mother and father Marion and Rickey Brown of Columbia, Tennessee, her father and mother-in-law Kenneth and Karen Smutz Whitham of Fairfield, her brother Matthew Cronan and grandmother Rose Moore of Columbia, TN. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 P.M. Friday, May 1st at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield with Pastor Dave Peterson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. It has been one year since she has been gone. Ashley was a good friend of mine for half of my life. One of my first memories of her was sitting in class together in 11th grade. She was the new girl at school. I sat behind her. I remember tapping her on the back and showing her my license that I just got. I was so excited. That was the beginning our friendship. We loved to hang out in the car. Rather we were driving or just parked in a parking lot talking. I have had some of the deepest conversations in our cars. I have also had some of the best laughs. She had the wittiest sense of humor. I really miss her. I know everyone that loved her still misses her. My heart aches for her boys, mom, and mike. I am thankful for our friendship.
