ATTILIO MOLLICONE Obituary

Published by Windsor Star on Sep. 6, 2016.
MOLLICONE, Attilio
November 18, 1936 - September 4, 2016
Gently placed into the arms of God after a short illness with cancer on September 4, 2016 with his family by his side at the age of 79. Beloved husband to Germana (nee DeSena) of 55 years. Loving Father to Vittoria (Vickie) and Donato (Danny) and wife Carmela. Proud Nonni to Daniel, Jason (Brittany) Sabrina, Derek, Deanna and Melissa. Cherished Bis-Nonni to Isabella, Alivia, Julia and Anthony. Predeceased by parents Donato and Vittoria Mollicone. Dear brother of the late Onorio Mollicone and surviving wife Emilia, the late Maria (Filippo) Paolini, late Adelina (Tomasso) DiLiegghio, and late Palma (Giuseppe) Zincone. Attilio will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins from Canada, US and Italy. Attilio retired in 1993 from Windsor Bumper after 29 years of dedicated service. He will be remembered for his passion for his garden and little farm filled with animals in the city. Family was his priority and his greatest pride in life was being a part of his children and grandchildren's lives, accomplishments and successes. Attilio was full of love and respect for everyone around him. He touched everyone's heart with his smile and admiration. He was also a dedicated member of St. Angela Merici, Ciociaro Club (1976) and The Voce Ciociaro (21 years). The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Oozeer, CCAC staff, VON staff and Hospice for all their care and compassion given to Attilio. A very special thank you to Delfina DiDuca and Norina Iannitelli for all of your love and support. Visitation will be held at

To Germana, Vicky, Danny, and the whole Mollicone family. Our sincerest condolences to you all. Attilio was such a nice person, I liked him very much. It came as a shock when I read of his passing as I wasn't even aware he had been ill. Our heartfelt prayers are with the family during this sorrowful period. Sincerely, Vilma Macioce and Giovanni Pozzi

What a wonderful spirit. Growing up along side nonna (Delfina) and the choir, I knew Attilio as a Nonno. He had a huge heart and a contagious smile. Condolences to all of his family and friends.
