Aubrey Horatio Reid, born on January 6, 1942, in Montego Bay, Jamaica, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, in Paterson, New Jersey. He was 82 years old.

Aubrey spent his early years in the village of Maroon Town, St. James, where he was raised by his parents, Daniel and Zeta Reid (née Chambers). He was the fourth of eight siblings: Wilfred, Peggy, Cecil, Mainah (Roy), Alfred, Rowena, and Pamela. A graduate of Chatsworth School, Aubrey later immigrated to the United States and made his home in Paterson, New Jersey.

A man of remarkable versatility and resourcefulness, Aubrey excelled in a wide range of trades and skills. He mastered car repair, large vehicle, and motorcycle mechanics; heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems; electrical work; general mechanical troubleshooting; cooking; baking; and even taxi driving. Known as a "jack of all trades," Aubrey approached every challenge with ingenuity and determination.

Aubrey is survived by his siblings Wilfred Reid, Alfred Reid, Rowena Reid, and Pamela Reid. He leaves behind his four children: Karen Reid; Jerry Reid and his children Sam and Zane Reid; Cameka Reid with her child Imani Reid and Keir Fuller. He was predeceased by his parents Daniel and Zeta Reid (née Chambers), siblings Peggy Reid, Cecil Reid, Mainah (Roy) Reid, and his grandson Jahsavior Reid.

Aubrey's life was a testament to resilience, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his legacy bring comfort to those who mourn his passing.

My Uncle Aubrey (AKA 'Baboo'), a caring, compassionate, and very much loved man, drove my late mother, Mrs Vera Reid (Wilford's Wife) and I, from Markham to Ontario whilst visiting Uncle Baboo in Canada when he owned and managed his bakery. Deeply missed and never forgotten, eternal love....
