Audrey Noriega Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 3, 2025.
In Loving Memory of Audrey Ann (Schweitzer) Noriega

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Audrey Ann Noriega, age 71, who has left us to reunite with her beloved husband, Eulalio "Chico" Noriega. Born on September 13, 1953 in Los Angeles, California, Audrey was the cherished daughter of Dorothy Helen and George William Schweitzer.

Family and friends were the heart of Audrey's life. She was always there to offer a listening ear, lend support, or share a laugh. Audrey's generosity and kindness made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to truly know her. Her unexpected passing occurred on the same day and month as her mother's in 2008.

Audrey Ann is survived by her sister, Laura Schweitzer; her niece, Sarah (Martin) Sheridan, and her husband Jonathan along with great-nephews Eli and Wesson; as well as her niece Amanda (Schweitzer) Elliott and her husband Bobby, and her great-nephew RJ and great-niece Amelia-her prides and joy. She was predeceased by her parents and her beloved brother, Larry. She also leaves behind many treasured friends from around the world.

Although Audrey is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the unforgettable memories, the love, and the lessons she imparted to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

At the request of Audrey, no funeral services will be held. A gathering of close friends and family will be announced at a later date.

Aunt Audrey was truly a wonderful human in this world with a spirit for life and deep love for her family. I was honored to be her hair stylist and absolutely loved when she was in my chair. Her advice was true and her generosity always inspired me. She always was so supportive of any of my ideas and my little family. She was tough and capable everywhere she went but had this wit and light around her that made her so so special. She saved me one Christmas, and I'll never forget that. Reading everyone's interactions with her over her years inspires me again. I will forever miss you Aunt Audrey..

My heart is broken. Audrey was my Payroll Director throughout most of my career with CCSD, our interactions were brief over all the years I served CCSD, but they were impactful. Audrey went way to soon. Tough as nails, spoke her mind, and never backed down when she knew what was good and true. There are few CCSD Administrators I have the utmost respect for, and Audrey was at the top of the list. I'm glad that I knew even the smallest part of who she was, I'm a better person for it.

When I heard of Audrey´s passing I was saddened and shocked; have thought about Audrey, her sister, Laura, and nieces ever since that awful day. Audrey and I met working at CCSD. We became instant friends. What a kind, honorable and funny gal. So many lunches, stories and laughs we shared. Some will never be forgotten. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Audreys family. I am so very sorry for your loss. Hugs!

When I heard the news, I could not believe it. Audrey did so much for everyone she encountered and lived life to the fullest. I will never forget that day in 2002 when I received the call from her to go to work for her, I was at my lowest point and that call changed my life for the better. When I lost my husband in 2009 she did everything to help me through it. She always made a point to come and talk to me when she would come into the office, inquiring about how I was doing and my family, even inviting me to her home when I was going to Reno. She was a wonderful and loved person with a heart of gold. She is going to be missed.
My heart goes out to her family but I know she left them with nothing but joy and love.

From Australia, we have known Audrey since 2002 & we're so shocked & upset to hear of her passing . We met in the United Kingdom on tour & have since toured in Zimbabwe with her & America 3 times. I only rang her the other day all excited because we are coming over this year again.
Audrey you have left the biggest hole in everyone's heart & will be missed more than you could ever imagine
