Axel William Osterberg

Axel William Osterberg 12/13/13 ~ 5/20/03  Axel William Osterberg, age 89, passed away May 20, 2003 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Born December 13, 1913 to Sven V. Osterberg and Frances S. Frost Osterberg in Dover, Maine. Married to Elsa Froding from 1939 to 1969. Married to Gertrud Vikstrom from 1970 - 2001. Axel was an active member of the LDS Church. He lived in Sweden for many years. He returned to the US in 1969. He was a tool and die maker by trade. Axel loved fishing and building model ships. Survived by two daughters Britt-Marie (Gosta) Johansson, Huskvarna, Sweden and Birgitta (Frank) Eldredge, Midvale, Utah; son John Osterberg, Tooele, Utah; nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. We will all miss you greatly, Pappa and Grandpa. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 23, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue & N Street.
