'Bobbie'
BELMONT -- Mrs. Briggs, 67, of 106 Highland Street, died Sunday, December 26, 2004 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She was retired from Warco Construction as an estimator. Active member of the NC Mustang Club, Tarheel Classic T-Bird Club and the GWRRA.
Her family would like to thank the care given to her from the 3rd floor nurses of GMH and hospice. She will be deeply missed by her family.
Visitation will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Carothers Funeral Home in Belmont. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Carothers Chapel, Belmont, Rev. Artie Kilgore officiating. Interment will be private for the family.
She is survived by her husband, Al Briggs of Belmont; her mother, Virginia Hall of Mount Holly; sister, Carole Hall Gum and Ken of Albany, GA; children, Jon Gregory Briggs and wife Wendy of Montgomery, AL; daughter, Angie Briggs Pettus and husband David of Clayton, NC; daughter, Tracy Briggs Jones and husband Drew of Belmont, NC; son, Albert 'Butch' Lawson Briggs, Jr. and wife Laura of Belmont, NC; six grandchildren, Jennifer and Robert Briggs of Montgomery, AL, Garret and Christain Pettus of Clayton, NC, Stephanie Brock and Phillip Briggs, both of Belmont; and three great grandchildren. She is survived by special aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Gaston County American Breast Cancer Society.
Arrangements by McEwen Funeral and Cremation Service, Charlotte Chapel.
