Barbara MATHERS Obituary
MATHERS, Barbara Lynne (nee Proctor) July 23, 1943 - July 15, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Mathers at Surrey Memorial Hospital on July 15, 2011 following her short struggle with lung cancer. Predeceased by her son Danny Middler, Barbara is survived by sons Kelly Middler (Karen), Blaine Mathers, six grandchildren and brothers Dennis Proctor and Wayne Proctor. After spending her early adult years as a homemaker, Barbara had a successful career of many years in the securities business, which she loved. She will be very sadly missed by her close friends and family many of whom were with her until the end. A graveside service will be held at Valley View Memorial Gardens at 1:00 pm on July 27, 2011 where her ashes will be interred next to her son Danny. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.

I received a phone call with no message from Barb not long before she died. My mother phoned me when I was on my way to work and read me the obituary. I pulled over and heaved. I swore I would answer personal calls forevermore. Love to you, smokin' Babs Mathers

On June 28th, I saw Barb's number on my answering machine with no message. Busy with life, I put off the call back until later. I so wished I spoke to her and feel at a terrible loss. If anyone would take the time to email me and talk to me about what happened, I would appreciate it enormously: [email protected]
