Barbara N. McClellan

Barbara McClellan peacefully passed through the pearly gates of Heaven on June 12, 2025, at the age of 85. She was born on November 17, 1939, in Tyler to E.P. and Rachel Brown. She graduated as Valedictorian from Chapel Hill High School in 1958 and Summa Cum Laude from Tyler Junior College in 1960.

She served as the Administrative Assistant to the President for Dr. Hamm and Dr. Mabry at UT Tyler for many years. She retired in 2002 to spend more time with her grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, E.P. and Rachel Brown. She is survived by son Michael McClellan, and wife Pam; grandson Zachary McClellan; granddaughter Emily McClellan, and "grand-dog" Bear. She was a Christian woman who never wavered in her faith and was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, the Kansas City Chiefs, and solving word search puzzles.

The family wishes to thank Laci Jo, Amy, Katrina, and everyone at the Hospice of East Texas for their compassionate care and kindness. A memorial service will be held for Barbara at a later date.
