Barbara A. Mowry

Barbara Ann (Korzen) Mowry, 75, passed away peacefully early in the morning on Monday, April 3, 2023, in Latrobe, at the Grove nursing home where she had been a long-term resident. She was born Dec. 6, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Frank and Alice (Stubblefield) Korzen, of Donegal. Barbara graduated from Mt. Pleasant Area High School in 1966. She worked at Seven Springs Resort as a sales coordinator until 1987 when she and her husband, Dennie S. Mowry, purchased a 7-Eleven store in Mechanicsville, Md. She loved the ocean, and her favorite beaches were the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She was an avid NASCAR fan. She enjoyed creating art and was a gifted colorist. She is survived by her sisters, Sherry Zimmerman and husband, Ray, of Latrobe, and Pam Corl and husband, Jay, of Donegal; her four grandchildren, Ben Stein, of Dunbar, Dylan Dunlap and Lucas Dunlap, of Fairchance, Pa., and Shelby Dunlap, of Lexington Park, Md.; six great-grandchildren; and one niece and five great-nieces and -nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her beloved daughter, Amy Bittner Dunlap. In keeping with Barbara's wishes, there will be no funeral services.
