Barbara OTTWAY Obituary
September 8, 1933 - May 13, 2013
It is with great sorrow that the family of Barbara Ottway share the news of her passing on Monday, May 13 at the Elizabeth Bruyère Hospital. Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Daniel Ottway and dear mother of Khal (Carole), Dave (Tracey), and John (Gina). Dear sister of Iris (Milton Summers). She was predeceased by her dear brothers Billy, Sonny and her dear sister Christine. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Keri (Steffen Reitsma), Alyssa, Whitney, Briand, Kristie, Stephanie (Richard Gort), and Melissa and great-grandchildren Kinsley, Teyah, Linden, Evangeline, and Kallie. Barbara was a beautiful, wonderful, loving and kind angel. She was a grandmother and great- grandmother, a wife and sister but mostly she was our MOM!
MOM you were our nurse, our chef, our maid,
our biggest fan, our teacher, mentor &
our best friend. You struggled for us,
cried for us, hoped the best for us &
prayed for us. You were always there for us.
Friends may pay their respects at the Beechwood Cemetery and Funeral Services, 280 Beechwood Ave., Ottawa on Tuesday, May 21 from 9:30 a.m. A memorial service will take place in the Sacred Space at 10:00 a.m. Following the interment a reception will be held in the Borden and Fleming Suites of Beechwood National Memorial Centre. For those who wish, and in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Lung Association in Barbara's memory would be appreciated.
