Almost a week since Mother's day...I kept busy so the "missing" would be less painful...but, the whole day, (like so many of my days),was still missing you with all my heart. My only comfort for my emptiness is that I know God Almighty has you in His Glorious Hands. Love you deeply mom!

Thank you all so very much for your kind and sincere words towards my mother and to our family. She will be missed by all in so many ways. She was my Best Friend, my Hero, my Teacher. She gave us all Hope, Faith and a Life full of Love. She knew no other way to do anything without giving her all and my family is well blessed for her giving heart. May God bless you and remember how good Life is with special people like my mom. I love you mom, forever!

Barbara was a more than a friend, we were soul sisters. I knew her all the way to her soul and she knew me all the way to my soul. She wanted nothing from me but my friendship and vice versa. Barbara was one of the most talented individuals I have ever known...so creative! She was beyond generous because she gave of herself, a gift so precious that it is rarely given by others. There wasn't a mean bone in her body...she truly forgave others when they did not deserve to be forgiven...her glass was always half full, even during the times when is was almost empty. I can still hear her giggle! I could tell by her giggle if she was happy, sad, hurt or disappointed...her giggle meant all of those things because that is how she faced life, on the bright side. She may not have shared your view on a subject, but she respected your right to have that view...she was not judgemental. I know Phil, Ginda and Michael will miss her and so will I. Finally, she is in a world with others like herself...a world filled with genuinely good souls. I know she is helping God look after those left behind. Barbara Gene Vickery Shoop will live in my heart until I join her on the other side.
