Roy:
We were shocked and saddened to hear of Barb’s passing. It was an ironic coincidence that made us both nieghbours and work associates almost 30 years ago and we have valued your friendship over those years. We have often thought of you and your wonderful family and would comment that we should get together. I regret now that we didn’t make the effort and find the time.
Barb was a compassionate and gracious lady who had a special serenity about her. We will remember her fondly.
Please accept our most sincere condolences

Without Aunt Barb I don't think we'd ever know what it would be like to be from a really big family.
Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving ~ they just wouldn't have been the same if it were just the 4 of us.
The real deal, she would focus on how important family was and should be ~ she would put her words into practice, and she made me a believer. Whatever conflicts and rough patches they bring, the whole point of a family is love.
After years of working hard in a profession that is all about caring for others, she proved herself to be a real warrior as the one being cared for as well.
I'm proud to have known her. Proud to call her my aunt. I'm already missing the family celebrations she made happen ~ I'll keep the memories with me always.
With love and eternal respect,
Your nephew,
Evelyn and Rod Cousins

Roy, Sheryl, Marc, Kevin & families;
We are all so sad about Barb's passing & will really miss her very much - She was like a sister to me & a great sister in law to Darrell. I'll really miss our weekly phone calls - even though she was so sick she always was still cheery.
Now she is at peace and no longer suffering - our thoughts are with you all in your time of sorrow - We are all so pleased so many people turned up at the funeral home. We know they all loved her just as we did. Lots of love and our condolences to you all.
We really cared so much for Barb.
~ Your sister~in~law/aunt Fiona.

Roy, Sheryl, Marc, Kevin -
We are so sorry to hear about your mom and wife, Roy. Barb has been a true friend since Larry and Mary met in 1962. It seemed that our family grew up with yours through the years and we were always able to call on one another.
Barb even knew how Newfies tied their shoes, even though Mary was the Newfoundlander.
Barb was best known to the kids for making the best chocolate cakes ever invented and serving Chicken Noodle Soup and Peanut Butter Sandwiches when we all lived down the block from one another in Washington and Ottawa.
Barb will always be remembered through our thoughts, in our hearts and our prayers. Barb we will miss you.
Forever your friends Larry and Mary Ostberg, Rebecca, Evadna & Evert
