Barbara Jean Stanley (n�e Turcinsky), 78, of Round Lake Beach passed away in Libertyville, Illinois, on February 4, 2024. Surrounded by her family. Born on March 11, 1945, in Waukegan, Illinois, Barbara was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.

Barbara was a fierce protector of her family, loving them with her whole heart. She was a kind and generous soul, always ready to lend a helping hand. Barbara took great pride in her grandchildren and was overjoyed by their accomplishments.

In addition to her role as a mother and grandmother, Barbara had a passion for floral arrangements. She loved her job at the floral shop and would often rearrange flowers of her family & friends when she visited them. Over the years, Barbara created countless bouquets for various occasions, bringing beauty and joy to those around her.

Outside of her career, Barbara enjoyed playing Bingo, reading, fishing, dancing,
crafting, coloring, Movies, Harry Potter, NCIS (Mark Harmon)and word search books. These hobbies brought her much excitement and camaraderie. She cherished the time spent with friends and family laughing and enjoying life. Barbara was "ma" "gram" or "auntie" to everyone she knew. Barbara loved all animals (her dog Rodie (lil Sht) has been cared for by her grandson). Barbara had an strong faith & relationship with the Lord.

Barbara is survived by
her daughters: Anita Buckingham (Robert Splitt), Laura (Daniel) Borke Jr, Teresa Edgeson-Verlinger (Greg), and Cindy (John). Step-sons: Roger, Steve and Johnny Ray Stanley. Brothers: Lester Moltz, John (Wendy) Tomlanovich. Her niece, caretaker, daughter of the heart Lisa.

Friend/"sister"; Dolores Kennedy. Barbara also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and Great great grandchildren whose lives she touched with her love and support. She had a special kind of love for her neices & nephews, auntie Barbara/aunt Barb loved them all so much! The family wants to extend a special thank you to those who visited her, cleaned, cooked, shampooed the carpets at her apartment, took her to appointments, checked on her when we couldn't, called her, sent her letters/cards, cut/permed her hair, helped pack her up, helped move her, too many things to list but you know who you are (Michael, Stella, Laura and Jodie)! Thank you all for loving her!
Barbara was preceded in death by her husbands: Frank Moniz & Roger Stanley, Mother: Charlotte Tomlanovich,
Sister: Shirley Cornelius,
Daughter: Shelia, Laura Lynn
Grandchildren: Travis and Danielle, great-grandchild: Justus.

Barbara also had a very special bond with her best friend , soul sister of over 55 years Audrey Gorsuch.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 11:30 AM at Home Oaks Cemetery (39923 Deep Lake Rd, Lake Villa, IL 60046). Following the service, a celebration of life luncheon will take place at Looney's Pub (40805 N. Route 83, Antioch, IL 60002).

Barbara Jean Stanley will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
