Barbara Marie Trumbull

Barbara Marie (Wright) Trumbull, 86, passed away peacefully March 24th in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born in Oak Park, Illinois on November 30, 1929 to parents Kenneth Heath Wright and Goldie Lorraine (Witt) Wright. Barbara attended Indiana University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she met the love of her life, the late John Wilson "Bill" Trumbull -- whom she married on May 10, 1952 in Maywood, Illinois. She worked as a bookkeeper from 1952 to 1992, and served as president of the League of Women Voters (Maywood), and treasurer of the Illinois League of Women Voters. Barbara also served as treasurer for her beloved Palisades Park Country Club (Michigan) and Harbor Towers Yacht and Racquet Club (Siesta Key, Florida), and was a long-time member of the Presbyterian Church of Western Springs (Illinois). She was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Frank Wright, and sister Ruth Kline, and is survived by sisters Adelaide DiBenedetto, Betty (Elizabeth) Wright, and Dorothy Roth; children Jane Ellen (Scott) Henkel, Lori Jo (Bob) Waldrop, and John Jeffrey (Natalie) Trumbull; grandchildren Andrea Henkel, Alyssa Henkel, Nicola (Alex) Prybell, Claire and Grace Trumbull; step-grandchildren Kendra (Cliff) Horn, and Keith (Megan) Waldrop; and step-great-grandchildren Cameron and Kaden Horn, and Austin and Abby Waldrop. The family thanks the professional staff of The Forum at The Woodlands and Heart to Heart Hospice for the loving care that they provided.
