Barry was a teacher and long time friend over 30 years to me. When I first met him, he nicknamed me as Fatso
since I am short and slim Japanese samuraid worrier. He was so good to give any kind of nickname for everybody. We had a so many funs getting together joking and driking. He and his family was so nice when I brought my family to his home from New York. His wife Marsha and his sons Matt, Brett was maybe 13 or 14 years old. He taught me a lot how to live in US as Japanese. I still remember the days when he stayed at my home in New York. He brought 5 cases of Iron City beer and 2 bottle of Jack Daniel. We had 1 case of beer and 1 bottle of Jack Daniel that night. Those kind of memory is coming up to me. He was lucky surrounded with great two sons and one daughter and beautiful wife. I will miss him a lot.

Barry and I shared wonderful, important years coaching our son's baseball teams. These were some of the most formative times of my life. Barry's patience, kindness, and joy for life made everyone feel good. He always knew what was the correct balance. I learned valuable lessons, as did my son from Barry as a Coach, Father, and a Friend.

Without a doubt Barry Eby was one of the finest gentlemen I have ever known. He was a quiet person, but generous to a fault and really cared about everyone he knew. Eb was a classmate, teammate and mostly a dear friend. He was so kind and generous to our grandson(pictured) who has Autism. Barry was one of a kind, he will be greatly missed in the Lebo and St. Clair communities. And I will miss our times together. RIP Eb, love you.
