Bartley "Chris" Keane

Bartley "Chris" Keane passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 8, 2024, after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Teresa Keane for 55 years. Born on December 5, 1943, in Furbo, Co. Galway, Ireland, Chris was known as a family man who cherished the moments spent with his loved ones. He was the son of the late Timothy and Mary Keane, and is survived by his brother Joe, and sisters Vera, Bernadette, and Tina. He is predeceased by his sister Fidelma and his brother Gabriel. He was also loved by his many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Chris immigrated to the United States in January of 1963 where he began what would be a lifetime career in construction. He later started his own business, Window Master, which was his pride and joy. Chris was a hardworking, honest, and dedicated business owner who prided himself on being fair. Accompanied by his wife Teresa, Chris was known to travel throughout New England selling windows - building meaningful and lasting relationships with clients who valued both his craftmanship and conversation.

Chris enjoyed sports and politics, and did not hesitate to share his opinions on both. This was often a topic of discussion over Sunday dinner, where he could be heard saying "I could be wrong, but..."

He is survived by his son Christopher Keane and his wife Tricia of Braintree, and daughter Aimee Hanrahan and her husband Joe, also of Braintree. He adored his role as "Grampy" to Maeve, Nolan, Avery, Kevin and Shealy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held in August to honor his memory. Details of the service will be provided closer to the date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Chris, to support cancer research and patient care initiatives.
