On Saturday, November 29, 2008, at home. Beloved wife of Dr. David S. Feingold. Loving mother of Oded Haber (Andrea Pierce), Anat Feingold (Nate Link) and Michele Feingold (Victor Ruiz). Devoted grandmother of Elana, Tamara & Jordan Feingold-Link, Daniela & Yoav Ruiz-Feingold, and Lee Haber. Preceded in death by parents Adolph Leon and Rachel Haber and brothers Abraham, Jacob, and Josef. Services at RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL, INC. 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Monday at 11 AM. Visitation one hour prior to services (10 AM - 11 AM). Interment Homewood Cemetery, Star of David Section. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hebrew Free Loan Association, 4315 Murray Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15217 or the Squirrel Hill Food Pantry, 5842 Forward Avenue, Pgh., PA 15217.

My memories of Batia span almost 50 years and are filled with admiration for her -- for her resolute survival after the devastation of WWII, for her great strength of character, wonderful sense of humor and joie de vivre that carried her through a full life to become a person much loved and admired by all. I will always miss her. I send my love to David, Oded, Anat and Michele.

Dear David, Oded, Anat & Michelle,
Some of my fondest childhood memories are of visits with your family, with Batia's energy, enthusiasm, intellect and humor setting the stage for our wonderful times together. I will always remember her as laughing and full of life and vigor. I feel very privileged to have known her and very sad to have lost her.
Please know that you are in my thoughts. I wish you and your families many occasions for comfort and joy even as you say your good-byes to Batia.

To be loved without restriction is the most beautiful gift of all. Batia blessed my life twice on this account, through her own openheartedness and that of her precious daughter, Anat. I have been forever changed by their meeting. May she be embraced carefully and lovingly in the arms of the divine. And for her sweetest of families, I am so so sorry. You are a precious bunch. My thoughts and love are with each of you.

Michele. Recibi tu mensaje y el de Victor hoy dia. Moments like these bring everything with them... a whole lot of mixed emotions. As I reflect on your mother's passing I am grateful that thanks to you and Victor, my family and I had the chance to meet her a couple of years ago. Her health, as I recall was deteriorating, but still she was enjoying life thanks to a loving husband, daughter and family.
I can clearly sense in your note the love, respect and admiration you have for your mother. These will help you as you go through this transition and learn to live with this new relationship. The body leaves, but the love and the spirit of people we love stay with us forever. May the love and memories of your mother be always with you, your Dad and your family.
