Beatrice McMeans McGee

Beatrice McMeans McGee, 97, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Sunday, December 16, 2007, at the Magnolia Regional Health Care Center - Corinth. She was a member of Oak Hill Christian Church. She enjoyed being with her family, flowers, and working in her yard. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 9 PM on Monday, December 17 at Cutshall Funeral Home - Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM on Tuesday, December 18, 2007. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to service time at Oak Hill Christian Church, officiated by Bro. Merl Dixon. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers include Greg McGee, Seth McGee, David Overby, Grant Collins, Ben Williams, Raburn Coln, James McMeans, Roger White, and Claude Hinton. The Staff of Heritage Hospice will serve as honorary bearers. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include 1 son – Billy McGee (Marcia) of Iuka, MS; 1 daughter-in-law – Betty McGee of Iuka, MS; 1 sister-in-law – Pearl McMeans of Iuka, MS; 4 grandchildren – Steve McGee (Vickie) of Iuka, MS; Greg McGee (Penny) of Iuka, MS; Lisa Overby (David) of Iuka, MS; and Priscilla Collins (Grant) of Tupelo, MS; 6 great grandchildren – Seth McGee, Katelynn McGee, Chelsi McGee, Molli McGee, Ashlyn Overby, and Graci Collins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank McGee; a son, Jimmy McGee; her parents, Jimmy and Alzadia McMeans; 2 brothers, Everett and Estes McMeans; and 3 sisters, Evie Waldrop, Carrie Petty, and Ella Fowler. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oak Hill Cemetery Fund.
