Beatrice Moresco Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 26, 2025.
Beatrice E Moresco

(Nee Schlueter) Born to eternal life on March 21 at the age of 101, joining her husband William A Moresco. Beloved mother of Barbara Roberts, Bonnie (Terry) Glynn, and Brian (Mary) Moresco. Grandmother of the late Troy (Kari) Roberts, Sarah (Dan) Slowik, and Nicholas (Carly) Kolacz. Great-grandmother of Haley, McKenzie, Ashlyn & Emma Roberts and Will & Natalie Slowik. Dear sister to the late Betty (the late Dennis) McCann, the late Arthur (the late Jean) Schlueter, the late Lois (the late John) Hutts, the Late Donald (Diane) Schlueter, and the late Laverne (the late Clarence) Fischer. Preceded in death by her beloved parents, Edna & Arthur Schlueter. She will also be missed & remembered by many nieces & nephews and countless friends.

Beatrice was born on October 16th, 1923. On that very same day, apparently foreseeing that baby Bea would need to be entertained, brothers Walter & Roy founded the Disney Bros Cartoon Studio. After growing up on Milwaukee's north side & graduating from Rufus King High School in 1941, Beatrice met William, marrying on May 29th, 1948. The years that followed were dedicated to making a home for her family, being a wonderful influence on her grandchildren & great-grandchildren while also finding time to work at Walgreens, Court Drugs, and Hartters bakery. Her later years were a happy, busy time dominated by family, friends, travel, and many enjoyable (and sometimes profitable) trips to various casinos.

Bea lived through the development of radio, television, space travel, cell phones & the internet, as well as rapid advancement in automobiles & airplanes. But to hear her say it, she would probably add the designated hitter to the list. Bea was a lifelong baseball fan, watching the minor-league Milwaukee Brewers at Borchert Field, the Milwaukee Braves at County Stadium, as well as the modern-day Brewers. She attended World Series games, many playoff encounters, and had the ultimate thrill of throwing out the first pitch at a game in 2011 at the age of 87.

Visitation Monday, April 7th at the Chapel at Wisconsin Memorial Park from 10:00-11:00 am, with service to follow.
