Becky DeMarea Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 7, 2025.
Becky DeMarea (née Doane), age 81, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Born on July 25, 1944, in Lawrence, Kansas, Becky began her life with a strong sense of faith and family that would guide her throughout the years. She attended Kansas University for two years before choosing to dedicate herself to raising a family-a role she embraced with love and devotion.

As her children grew older and entered high school, Becky returned to the workforce and found a new path in collections. Her work ethic and determination were evident in all she did, both professionally and personally.

A woman of deep faith, Becky was a firm believer in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She remained active in her spiritual life by attending various Bible studies over the years, including Bible Study Fellowship. Her commitment to her beliefs was a cornerstone of her life and brought comfort and strength to those around her.

Becky was a loving mother to her daughter Diana and cherished the bond she shared with her daughter-in-law Sherri. Though she experienced the profound loss of her son Peter Lawrence DeMarea, his memory remained ever-present in her heart.

Becky adored her four grandchildren-Matthew, Greyson, Powell, and Adam-and took immense joy in watching them grow. Her love for them was boundless, and she treasured every moment spent together.

In recent years, Becky found joy in playing Bingo and staying connected with close friends and relatives. She valued these relationships deeply and was especially grateful for the enduring friendships she shared with Sharon, Reeva, Anna and David.

Becky's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love left an indelible mark on those who knew her. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched with grace and compassion.

Donations in Becky's memory may be made to Friendship Village.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held on August 9, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Friendship Village Chapel 12777 Village Circle Dr. Casual
