Ben, as a grandfather, was larger than life to me. Living so far away I was greatful to have last seen him a year ago for a short visit knowing my time with him was short. He will be greatly missed.

It was my fortune to have been a cousin and my honor to have known Ben. I will always treasure the time that I spent with him...when I got Ben to tell me of the days when he went to Washington DC and his varied and most interesting life.

Dear Kin - Wish we could all be there at the funeral and burial tomorrow but at least several of us will make it. Know that all of us are there with you in spirit. Ben was a remarkable man and will be missed greatly. The reunion won't be he same without him. We'll see you then if not before. God's Blessings to you all at this difficult time.

Love,
Sharon Maas, Art, Kristen, Allison, Nancy, Jessie
